This policy explains what information we collect when you visit www.doralcustomsbrokers.com, contact us, send us your import documents, text with us, or pay an invoice, and how we use and protect that information.

- Calls, emails and text messages: anything you share when you contact us.
Information collected automatically
- Usage data: through Google Analytics (via the MonsterInsights plugin) we collect information such as pages visited, time on the site, the referring website, general location, device and browser type, and an anonymous identifier stored in a cookie.
- Security and spam-prevention data: our forms use Google reCAPTCHA, a CAPTCHA, and Akismet to block spam, and our site uses the Wordfence security service. These may collect your IP address, browser information and the content you submit to detect abuse and attacks.
- Server logs: our hosting provider automatically records technical information such as IP address, browser type and the date and time of your visit.
How we use your information
- To answer your questions, prepare quotes, and provide customs brokerage services, including customs entries, ISF filings, customs bonds and related services.
- To prepare and submit filings to U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and other government agencies.
- To send you updates about your shipments and customs entries by phone, email or text message.
- To process invoice payments.
- To understand how visitors use our site and improve it.
- To protect our site and our clients from fraud, spam and security threats.
- To meet our legal and recordkeeping obligations.
Customs filings and government agencies
To clear your goods, we must share the shipment, importer and party information you provide with U.S. Customs and Border Protection and, when your goods require it, with other government agencies (for example, the FDA or USDA), as required by law. We may also share information with carriers, freight forwarders, sureties (bond companies) and other parties involved in your shipment, only as needed to handle it.
As a licensed customs broker, we are required by federal law to keep import records. Under 19 CFR Part 163 (§ 163.4) and 19 CFR § 111.23, these records are generally kept for at least 5 years from the date of entry (powers of attorney are kept until revoked, and then for 5 more years). We cannot delete these records before the legal period ends.
