An informal entry may be filed when the invoice value of the import shipment is less than $2,500. Certain trade sensitive commodities cannot be entered with an informal entry even if the value is less than $2,500.

Each type of entry has are guidelines and regulations that must be followed in order to clear the shipment through US customs.
For consumption entries, the following minimum documentation is required in order for us to classify and clear your shipment:
- Power of attorney
- Invoice showing detailed description of your shipment and the contents
- Packing list
- Bill of lading or airway bill
- OGA (Other government agencies) may have other requirements such as permits and licenses
